Journée Immersion - AATF Chapter North Texas organise “ une journée immersion” pour nos élèves de français.

When: On Saturday, October 16th
Time: 9am --12 noon
Where:  Parish Episcopal School, 4101 Sigma Rd, Dallas
Cost:  $2 per student (cash at the door, please), plus an additional $1 per student for the cheese-tasting session (if a student chooses to attend that session).

This will be a conference-style set up with different sessions for students to attend.  The sessions will be held in either English or in French and will cover a variety of topics.  Students may choose which sessions they would prefer to attend.

The World Speaks French - Posters from The World Speaks French campaign are now available. They can be purchased on-line through the AATF Web site.

Alliance Française Discount - The Alliance has also graciously offered to give a discount of 20% to teachers who wish to take any of their classes. For further information, see their website, www.afnorthtexas.org . Other resources there include non-natives' proficiency tests available for students and contemporary French films each month.

Mentorship for New Teachers - Many new teachers are the only French teacher on campus and could use friendly advice and encouragement. If you are interested in mentoring a new teacher or would like a mentor for yourself, please contact Pauline Sinnamon (Plano East Senior High) at Pauline.Sinnamon@pisd.edu for information about the new mentoring program she is setting up.
