Call for Papers - The South Central Association for Language Learning Technology is pleased to announce its annual conference and invites submissions for individual/joint presentations, product demonstrations, workshops, and panel discussions.

SOCALLT 2012's conference theme is:
Success Stories in the 21st Century Foreign Language Class: Transforming Teaching & Learning with Technology. The conference will be held on the campus of the University of Colorado-Boulder, April 13-14, 2012.

Deadline for submissions is Monday, February 13, 2012 (5PM CST).

The World Speaks French - Posters from The World Speaks French campaign are now available. They can be purchased on-line through the AATF Web site.

Alliance Française Discount - The Alliance has also graciously offered to give a discount of 20% to teachers who wish to take any of their classes. For further information, see their website, www.afnorthtexas.org . Other resources there include non-natives' proficiency tests available for students and contemporary French films each month.

Mentorship for New Teachers - Many new teachers are the only French teacher on campus and could use friendly advice and encouragement. If you are interested in mentoring a new teacher or would like a mentor for yourself, please contact Pauline Sinnamon (Plano East Senior High) at Pauline.Sinnamon@pisd.edu for information about the new mentoring program she is setting up.
