The Great Fire of Rome

Emperor Nero

Nero lived from 37 AD to 68 AD and reigned for 13 years until he finally committed suicide. His mother was Agrippina. He was the great grandson of Emperor Augustus, and the nephew of Emperor Claudius whom his mother later killed to make Nero emperor. However, he was extremely helpful in rebuilding Rome after the fire. After the fire to get out of blame for it, Nero blamed the Christians for the fire. This actually worked very well for Nero because people didn’t like Christians at the time anyways.
