What Nero did during and after the fire

It is said that during the fire Nero watched Rome burn from afar, and then returned as soon as it went out. After the fire Nero returned immediately, and started to rebuild Rome including his famous Domus Aurea Palace. This is one reason that many people believe Nero had something to do with the fire.
