One day King Minos wanted to impress his kingdom so they would think he was allied with the gods (what king doesn’t). Anyway he prayed to Poseidon for a white bull to come out of the ocean and said that if it came out of the ocean he would sacrifice it to Poseidon. The bull arose from the ocean and swam to shore, the problem was it was too pretty so Minos kept it and sacrificed one from his own herd. As you probably guessed Mr. P (Poseidon) was pretty ticked off and punished Minos by making his wife, the Queen, fall in love with the white bull and she asked Daedalus, the resident craftsman, to make her a wooden cow so she could get close to the bull. She got inside the cow and Big D (Daedalus) wheeled her in the pen with the bull and they mated and the Queen gave birth to the minotaur (Bum Bum Bum Bum!!!!). King Minos was very embarrassed and went to the oracle at Delphi to seek advice. The oracle told him to build a labyrinth to house the minotaur and send boys and girls in as sacrifices. Minos had Big D build a labyrinth and every so often he sent boys and girls into the labyrinth to be eaten by the minotaur. A young man named Theseus did not approve of this and volunteered to pretend to be a sacrifice and kill the minotaur. Theseus won over the King’s daughter and she helped him kill the minotaur.
