Frances Dodson, French Coordinator
US French, LS Spanish
BA, French - University of New Mexico, 1983; MA, French
- University of New Mexico
“I have been teaching at TVS since 1992. I have a BA and
an MA from the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque,
where I grew up. Before moving to Texas, I taught at a
small, private school in Los Angeles where I lived for
four years. While in graduate school, I lived in France
for a year where I taught English in a French High
School. My hobbies are running, reading, travel, going
to movies and playing with my kids. I have been
extremely happy here at TVS. I have taught almost every
grade from K-12. I like teaching high school and lower
school and enjoying watching these kids grow up.”

Gail Corder
US French, Technology
Coordinator
BA, French - University of Texas at Arlington, 1980;
M.Ed., Educational Administration (Technology) - Texas
Christian University, 1999
“ I have been at Trinity Valley School since 1981. As my
educational background suggests, I am a long-time French
teacher whose interest in teaching with technology led
to a degree and ultimately, a position in the technology
department. I am a native Texan, from Orange, Texas. I
learned my French at the Université Paul Valéry in
Montpellier, France, and have taken many student groups
to France in the summers. I am also the author of the
Teacher’s Edition of a popular French textbook. I think
the two things I like best about teaching are working
with young people and being in an intellectually
stimulating environment. I have fantastic colleagues
from whom I have learned so much, and continue to learn
everyday. What I like most outside of school is spending
time with my husband and my two children of whom I am
very proud - Brian (TVS Class of ’95) and Cassidy (TVS
Class of ’03.)”

“Although I have been teaching for over 25 years, I've
been at TVS since 2002. I am thrilled to be teaching at
the best school in Fort Worth. My interests include
horseback riding and playing music. I play keyboard in a
Celtic band, “Brothers 3”, with my husband.”
